Welcome to Freedom From Chains Recovery Ministry

At Freedom From Chains, we are a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to helping individuals break free from the cycles of addiction, incarceration, and hopelessness through faith, support, and purposeful recovery. We believe that no one is too far gone from God's grace, and our mission is to walk alongside people on their journey to healing, restoration, and lasting freedom. Whether you're taking your first step towards recovery or supporting someone who is, we are here to provide encouragement, resources, and a Christ-centered community that understands the power of second chances.

Freedom From Chains Recovery Ministry is a Christ-centered outreach dedicated to helping individuals break free from the bondage of addiction, trauma, and past mistakes. Rooted in the transforming truth of God’s Word, we are guided by the principles of the Life Recovery Bible, blending Scripture with the 12 steps to promote true healing and lasting freedom. We walk alongside those in recovery with grace, accountability, and the unwavering belief that no one is beyond God’s reach.

We proudly partner with our home church, Freedom Place Church @  freedomplace.tv in Rowlett, Texas, where we receive spiritual support and are empowered to serve our community. Through this partnership, we offer a safe and faith-filled environment where individuals can grow in Christ and hope for a brighter future.

Our ministry extends even further through active involvement in several outreach programs. We volunteer with CarePortal.org,  connecting churches to the needs of children and families in crisis. We serve as Justice Ambassadors for  Prisonfellowship.org, advocating for second chances and restorative justice. We are also connected with Restore Ministry, @ iamrestored.net, a Christ-centered healing program for women who have experienced the trauma of past abortions. And through Freedom From Chains Recovery Ministry, we specifically walk with men and women who are reentering society after incarceration, helping them rebuild their lives with purpose and faith.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to see chains broken, lives restored, and hope renewed—one soul at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHY FREEDOM FROM CHAINS

Freedom From Chains Ministry is made up of real people who have experienced the struggles of prison and addiction. We understand firsthand what it means to need a second chance. Through God's grace, we've had the opportunity to turn our lives around, and now we’re here to help others do the same. We believe that God gives second chances and that no matter where you've been, you can experience healing, restoration, and a fresh start in Christ.

LIFE RECOVERY HOW IS IT DIFFERENT

Life Recovery differs from AA and NA by focusing specifically on Christ-centered recovery. While AA and NA are spiritual programs, Life Recovery integrates biblical teachings with the 12-step model, encouraging individuals to find healing through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It takes a holistic approach, addressing spiritual, emotional, and relational healing, not just sobriety. Life Recovery also emphasizes personal transformation through Christ and community support with a Christian foundation, offering a deeper focus on purpose and serving others in recovery.

WHY IS SECOND CHANCES SO IMPORTANT

Second chances are important because they offer hope, redemption, and the chance for growth. They allow people to learn from mistakes, heal from the past, and start fresh. Second chances break the cycle of despair, restore relationships, and give individuals the opportunity to find purpose and live a transformed life.

“Since joining Freedom From Chains, my life has been transformed. I am forever grateful for their support and guidance on my path to recovery.”
