Why Testimonies Matter to Us

Testimonies are at the heart of everything we do. For us, sharing our stories isn’t just about telling people what we’ve been through — it’s about showing them the power of transformation that can only come from God. Our testimonies are living proof that no one is beyond God’s reach.
When we look back on our individual journeys, we see the darkness and the pain, but we also see God’s light shining through it all. We both experienced deep hurt — addiction, betrayal, loneliness, and loss. We know what it’s like to feel hopeless, to feel like you're stuck in a place with no way out. But God’s grace met us right there, in our deepest places of brokenness. He didn’t turn His back on us; He picked us up, dusted us off, and called us His own.
That’s why testimonies are so important to us. They remind us that God works in ways we often don’t see. Our testimonies are a declaration that God’s love never fails, that no matter how dark our past, we’re never too far for God to reach.
When we share our stories, it’s not about glorifying our pain — it’s about glorifying the One who healed us. It’s about showing others that they don’t have to stay stuck, that healing is possible, and that they are not alone.
We believe that testimonies have the power to break chains. When we tell our stories, it gives others the courage to step into their own journey of healing. It creates space for vulnerability, for hope, and for community. When we share where we’ve been and how far God has brought us, it reminds everyone that God isn’t finished with any of us.
Every testimony is a seed planted in the hearts of others — and it’s through those seeds that God brings restoration and freedom. We’ve seen firsthand the power of a testimony to change someone’s heart, to shift their perspective, and to ignite faith in places where it seemed impossible.
We share our testimonies not because we have it all together, but because God is still working in us. And we know that as we continue to share and listen to others' stories, we’ll all experience more freedom, healing, and purpose together.
Testimonies remind us: there is always hope, and God is always at work.
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
— Revelation 12:11
I spent years running from myself. I tried to numb the pain with drugs, alcohol, and anything that would keep me from feeling the emptiness inside. I was trapped in a vicious cycle, and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t break free. My relationships fell apart, my health deteriorated, and I reached a point where I truly believed I would never escape the darkness.
But one night, after hitting rock bottom, I found myself on my knees, crying out to God. I didn’t have the words, but I just asked Him to help me. I didn’t know how, but I was desperate for change.
That was the turning point. Slowly, God began to heal me, to fill the emptiness I had been trying to fill with everything but Him. I went through recovery, but it wasn’t just about getting clean — it was about surrendering everything to God. I learned to forgive myself, to let go of the shame, and to trust in His timing.
Today, I’m living in freedom. I’m sober, I’m restored, and I’m not defined by my past anymore. God has given me purpose, and I’m passionate about helping others who are struggling with addiction. I know that God has a plan for me, and my story is proof that no one is beyond His reach.”**

For most of my life, I was running from the consequences of my actions. I grew up in a broken home, surrounded by bad influences, and I ended up making choices that led me to prison. I spent years in and out of the system, believing that this was just my fate. I didn’t feel like I had a purpose — I was just existing.
It wasn’t until I was incarcerated again that something changed. I met a chaplain who introduced me to Jesus. At first, I was skeptical. I’d heard about God, but I didn’t really understand what it meant to have a relationship with Him. But the more I listened, the more I realized I needed something more than just freedom from jail. I needed freedom from myself.
I began reading the Bible, attending services, and slowly, God started to change my heart. I surrendered my life to Jesus and, for the first time in years, I felt peace. When I was released, I was determined to live differently. I knew I had a purpose — to share my story and help others who had been through the same struggles.
Today, I’m out of prison and living with a new purpose. I’m not defined by my past anymore — I’m defined by God’s grace and His love. He’s using me to reach others who feel hopeless, just like I once did. I know now that God can take even the darkest of situations and turn them into something beautiful.”**
